British Airways

It is the UK's largest international scheduled airline, in which Iberia holds a 9.99% stake.

With a fleet of 245 aircraft, it flies to over 140 destinations in 75 countries at convenient times, to the well best located airports. Its main hub is London’s Heathrow airport, the world’s biggest international airport.

The airline is listed on the London Stock Market.

WAM Acquisition (propietor of Amadeus)

Wam Acquisition is a holding company created by the investment funds BC Partners and Cinven along with three airlines, including Iberia, which owns an 11.68% stake.

Wam in turn owns Amadeus, the world’s leading travel reservations company, which supplies services to thousands of travel agencies and sales offices around the world, making seat reservations on nearly 500 airlines. The system also handles bookings at more than 63,000 hotels and  50 car rental firms, as will as reservations on ferries, cruise ships, and railways. It also acts as a broker for insurance firms and tour operators.

Iberia Cards

Iberia Cards is a company dedicated to the issue and management of payment cards, in which Iberia holds a 40% stake, while BBVA, Caja Madrid, and the Banco Popular group each hold 20%. This company is in charge of marketing the co-branded Visa Iberia card, a credit card accepted at millions of merchants and ATMs around the world, and whose cardholders can earn Iberia Plus points that can be exchanged for air tickets, lodging, car rentals, and other services available through the Iberia Plus customer loyalty programme.

Cacesa

Cacesa is the Iberia Group unit which, since 1987, has supplied door-to-door shipping and parcel services, and is represented at all Spanish airports.

In the express parcel service area, Cacesa is the exclusive marketer of Iberia Cargo’s IBEXPRESS service. Door-to-door pickup and delivery can often be completed within a single day.

Cacesa’s quality management system has earned ISO 9001/2000 certification from Spain’s AENOR standards bureau.

Joint flight crew training venture with Canadian Aviation Electrionics (CAE)

Iberia and Canadian Aviation Electronics (CAE) have formed a joint venture for flight crew training, consolidating the assets of their respective training centres (CAE in Alcalá de Henares, and Iberia next to Barajas Airport). This company is responsible for training Iberia flight personnel, as well as aeronautical engineering students and external civil and military clients.

Adquira

Adquira, a joint venture of four major Spanish companies, Telefónica, BBVA, Repsol YPF and Iberia, provides services and complete solutions for purchasing, selling, and negotiating via the Internet to all types of businesses, regardless of size, sector, or technological level.

Opodo

Opodo is an on-line travel company made up by the nine major European airlines, including Iberia, along with Amadeus and the principal technology suppliers to the travel industry.

Opodo makes it possible to choose amongst 480 airlines, 54,000 hotels, and 23,000 sites for renting cars and buying travel insurance.
